Nice, is this a new piece?
Thanks, gforrest man! No, it is a detail of a large piece that I did around 1996. It has a freshwater clamshell that hinges open and inside is this laminated poplar and purpleheart wood heart with a bronze flame. The heart emerges from the end of a bronze rod that also holds the hinge for the clamshell. The base is a tetrahedren with a inlaid purpleheart flame outlined in bronze on the bottom.
